Election night ...

Did you know ... that it is election night in Canada? ... a mere two short months since the elections were called.

The difference between the Canadian and American electoral process is so different that it boggles the mind ... so how long have Obama and McCain been campaigning now? ... seems like forever. Here in Canada, if you blink ... you miss the speeches, the platforms and maybe even the election results.

Did you know ... that there's such a thing as upside down rainbows? Such an optical phenonmenon is called a circumzenithal arc. No need for rain and cloud for these nonconventional rainbows ... they tend to happen when skies are blue and ice crystals are present.

Canada's old, really, really old ...

Did you know ... that the oldest rocks in the world have been found in Canada?
... somewhere in Northern Quebec on Hudson's Bay.

Just how old are these rocks? ... an estimated 4.28 billion years old!!

Wow ... I can't even begin to conceptualize that old ... and they go on to say that the creation of the rocks would have happened roughly 300 million years after the planet formed ...

It's all rather humbling ... as we humans measure our lifetimes by decades ... most never reaching a centenary ...

Did you know ... that they now make candy spray? Yup, you read that right ... no need to suck, lick, chew ... just spritz into your mouth. I don't know about you ... but it kinda' defeats the purpose of a lollipop or a Tootsie Roll in my book.
